Learn about the Effects of Mental Health on Fitness

Hello

Welcome to our website.

This website was created for those that wish to seek a better life.  For those that chose not to be defined by their illness, but by their spirit.  We created this website to help those that are struggling to find a path to better health, and feel held back by the storm within their head.  We are here to offer advice, guidance, and a step in the right direction.

You are NOT your illness. You have an individual story to tell. You have a name, a history, a personality. Staying yourself is part of the battle.

Our Mission

Mental health is a silent epidemic we face in the United States that impacts 1 in 5 Americans each year.  Recent studies show that physical activity does play a role in your mental health, and should be taken into serious consideration.  Roughly 30% of individuals ages 18 to 25 years of age experience mental health issues in a time where 23% of Americans don’t meet physical health guidelines and 25% of Americans live sedentary lifestyles.  Recent studies have emphasized concern about our physical habits and its relation to the rising mental health epidemic. Our goal is to offer information to teach everyone how motivation and discipline can affect exercise, what type of exercise helps mental health the most, positive changes you can make to your nutritional habits, how stress and anxiety tie into cardiorespiratory health, and the positive and negative effects of pharmaceutical drugs on mental health and exercise.  We open our arms to those who seek help and seek change in their lives.  To those who battle with mental health and wish to be better, you are not alone.
